Fuel Cost Estimator Page

Fuel costs can make or break an RV trip. This tool helps you pull current pricing (by region) and estimate what your drive might cost based on your real MPG and rig type. It’s built for quick planning, not perfect penny-level receipts.

For USA, you’ll get state averages plus city-level prices (where provided). For other regions, you’ll usually get country/city-level averages.
What RVers actually care about: the price trend, the cheapest nearby region, and a realistic trip estimate with your towing MPG. This tool stays “planning accurate” without exposing keys or doing sketchy scraping.

Towing adjustments are conservative, not dramatic.
Headwinds, hills, and speed are usually the three silent fuel thieves. If the estimate feels “too good,” you’re probably right.
Want a second opinion? GasBuddy is still a solid reference. Use whatever helps you save the most at the pump.

FAQ

Is this pulling exact station prices?

In the USA state view, you’ll get city-level prices where the provider includes them. Outside of that, most feeds are regional averages (still useful for planning and comparison).

Why is my real-world cost higher than the estimate?

Towing speed, headwinds, grades, stop-and-go, load, and tire pressure will move MPG. Use your “bad day MPG” if you want safer budgeting.

Can this estimate diesel too?

Yes. Switch the fuel type. Some regions may not provide diesel at the same detail level, but the estimator still works with whatever price we can pull.
