  1. There is nothing worse than finding you have a leak somewhere and water is dripping down where it shouldn’t be. Finding this list of roof repair products is a godsend.

My son recently bought a vintage caravan to restore, and it has a leaking pop-top. It looks as if Rust-Oleum caters for many issues that one might have with a mobile home roof, but can one also use it for a pop-top caravan? Or is there a different product that you can recommend for caravans with pop-tops? Thank you.

    1. As I’m not too familiar with the type of leak, I can’t determine for sure which product is more reasonable. If the leak is in a corner, it might be cracked on the inside, in which that roof in particular would have to be removed. If its a quick repair, top only fix, then you’d want to clean and primer the roof first, followed by a waterproof heat reflective membrane paint product such as:Astec Energy star EC-100 Paint.

That said, the Rustoleum products are similar, so that choice would also be a recommendation. Let me also send you a link for instructions, should the pop top roof leak be more advanced.

  2. Leaky roof creates a big problem in a rainy season and here you give many choices of solution to repair it. But I am sure about RV roof magic that it can seal the leaky roof and fill the miniature gaps or cracks. RV Roof Magic is the choice for mobile RV roof repair.

    1. Thank you for your recommendation! I checked out your link, and I would say that there is a definate comparison to the Liquid Rubber product I have listed. I have noted your product for consideration to do another article.
      Cheers!

  3. This was great and a very helpful post for RV owners. Currently, I am not an RV owner, but this was good for me to see what kind of maintenance would be in store for us if we purchased one. I keep thinking about the benefits of an RV. My wife and I are both past retirement age and still work. The nice thing is that we both work remotely at home. She’s on one end of the house and I am on the other, both of us logged into our companies’ systems. I would really love to travel more, but we are tied to work. I keep saying that we could sell the house and purchase a nice RV that we could work out of. We could travel while we work! So far, she hasn’t taken me seriously about this. Something about grandchildren that live near us. Ha! But this is still good information that I can hopefully use in the future or tell my RV owning friends about your site.

    1. Hi Scott, I’m glad you found my post on RV roof repair products helpful, even though you’re not an RV owner at the moment. It’s great to hear that you’re considering the possibilities of RV life, especially given your unique work situation.

The idea of working remotely from an RV is indeed an enticing one. Imagine the freedom to travel while still earning a living! It’s a lifestyle that many people, especially those past retirement age, find incredibly fulfilling. I can understand the appeal of such a setup.

Of course, family considerations, like having grandchildren nearby, can be a significant factor in these decisions. But it’s also worth noting that some RVers find a balance between life on the road and spending quality time with their loved ones. RV travel allows for flexibility, and you can plan trips that include visits to your grandchildren while exploring new places.

I appreciate your intention to share my site with your RV-owning friends. It’s always great to have a community of like-minded individuals who can exchange tips and experiences. Feel free to explore more of my articles, and who knows, maybe you’ll find even more inspiration for your future RV adventures.

If you ever decide to take the plunge into RV ownership or have any questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to provide guidance and support for all your RV-related endeavors. Until then, I wish you and your wife the best in your remote work and travel aspirations!

      Cheers!
