Suburban RV Furnace Parts List

When it’s time to stay warm without being disturbed, one should look at Suburban Appliances for RVs. This manufacturing company has an extensive 75-year history in making top-of-the-line products that include; Kitchen appliances (including outdoor kitchens), hot water heaters (including on-demand), and climate control.

Below I will commence and solely focus on the Suburban RV Furnace parts list. I will give you a list of models and accessories that the company makes, which will include a generalized description as well as part #s, and where to purchase.

This list will NOT include core replacement models however. These itemized products can be found directly on their website here: Furnace Core Replacement Modules for RVs & Campers – Suburban (suburbanrv.com).

DIRECT DISCHARGE FURNACES

Suburban’s line of Direct Discharge Furnaces showcase 2 models. They are:

12-Volt NT-SEQ Series – Model 2504ABK & 2503ABK

These particular furnaces are incredibly compact and lightweight.

But even with their small size and amp draw, these gas furnaces are capable of heating sizable living areas quickly and efficiently, with capacities from 16,000 to 19,000 BTUH.

The NT-SEQ models are direct discharge furnaces with attractive grilles for zone heating of smaller RVs, trailers, truck campers and even pop-ups.

A side duct on SE models is optional. It’s cut-out dimensions are: 10-3/16″H x 10-9/16″W.

The unit size is 9-1/2″H x 9-3/8″ W x 22-1/2″D.

Model 2504ABK (shown above) is 19,000 BTU, while the 2503ABK model is 16,000 BTU. Both come with a 2-year limited warranty.

DUCTED FURNACES

The Suburban manufacturing company has produced two versions of ducted furnaces. Two models are in one version which is the 12-Volt NT-SQ Series, and then five models in the other version which is the SF Series.

1) 12-Volt NT-SQ Series – Model 2444A & Model 2450A

These Suburban NT-SQ Series furnaces are also incredibly compact and lightweight. With capacities of 16,000 BTU (the 2444A model) to 19,000 BTU (the 2450A model), these small sized gas furnace units are capable of heating the averaged size Coach.

Because they are a ducted discharge type, it provides even distribution throughout your sizable living area.

With cut-out dimensions of 10-3/16″H x 10-9/16″W, these model unit sizes are 9-1/2″ x 9-3/8″ x 22-1/2″.

As it is extremely similar to the direct discharge NT-SEQ Furnace, the warranty on it will be the same.

Both 12-Volt direct discharge and Ducted furnaces have the thermostats that are sold separately.

2) SF Series – Models 2552A, 2556A, 2559A, 2654A, & 2572A

The SF Series provides maximum heating performance in a small 12-Volt DC furnace. This model is offered in five sizes from 20,000 to 40,000 BTU/h input. At only 7-1/2″ in height, it can be easily installed in low height areas.

Also, with 11 duct connection choices (top, front, side, and bottom, top or side rear gas and electrical connections make it easy to install.

An optional exterior access door allows for furnace series without entering the coach. This unit size is 7-1/2″H x 17″W x 20″D and features “quiet, multi-ported stainless steel burners, sealed forced-draft combustion, automatic direct spark ignition and low amp draw“.

Some discrepancies between the Suburban website and other sources, as well as Amazon show unmatching model numbers within this series.

To the best of my knowledge, the breakdown goes as follows:

  • -Model 2552A is correct, covers 20SF and has a capacity of 20,000 BTU, but Is NOT available through Amazon.
  • -Model 2556A is available on Amazon under model 2390A – Dynatrail, It’s labeled as 25,000 BTU and covers 25SF.
  • -Model 2559A is correct and available on Amazon (link above). It has a 30SF coverage and a capacity of 30,000 BTU. Strangely, a second model (2388A) also appears on Amazon that has the same coverage and capacity but a different price. The only notable mention is a 0.5kg weight difference between the two, while everything else appears the same.
  • -Model 2564A is available on Amazon under model 2398A, and is labeled as 35,000 BTU with a coverage of 35SF.
  • -Model 2572A is correct, covers 42SF and has a capacity of 42,000 BTU, but is NOT available through Amazon.

PARK MODEL FURNACES

With similarities to the NT-SQ Ducted furnace, the Park model furnace is only available in one series, which is:

120-Volt AC – Model 2456AQ P-40 Series

As this series has the same cabinet size as the NT series (mentioned above), this version is equipped with 120-Volt, long-life, heavy-duty AC 1.5 amps motors and controls.

What offers a capacity of 40,000 BTU/h respectively, the P-40 is designed for use in recreational park model trailers.

What has 4″ round sides duct outlet and 10″ x 3-1/4″ Bottom, this unit size comes with a dimension of 12-1/2″H x 12″W x 23″D.

This model (2456AQ) has a 2 yr limited warranty, and is labeled on Amazon as model 2051, plus is priced and showcased above.

FURNACE DOORS

Adding an access door to your Suburban ducted SF series furnace allows for servicing the furnace without entering the coach.

This parts list contains 3 model numbers, and are as follows:

  • -6258AAW – Arctic White
  • -6258ACW – Colonial White
  • -6258APW – Polar White

VENT CAP AND TUBE ASSEMBLY

The Suburban Furnac Heater Vent is to replace model number 260231 (US model number 260573). This is the current model number on this parts list and is pictured and priced below:

**Note: Products vary internationally so may require special adapters or converters before installation. Please consult with your supplier for further details.**

THERMOSTAT

Of course, there are a variety of thermostats that could work for your heating unit, but none better than the Suburban brand. The one and only model available is #161154, which is a heat only thermostat, white in color and is for use specifically with Suburban furnaces.

OTHER FURNACE ACCESSORIES

With this Suburban RV Furnace Parts list coming to a near end, you have to realize the accessibility to replace or repair a lot of these appliances is relatively simple, when learned properly.

Having access to training course modules to learn how to maintain these products was mentioned in my previous article here: Suburban RV Appliances – The top 4 manufactured by this company – Everything RVs and More.

In knowing that, the above MAIN parts are only the scratch of the surface. Do note that many of the RV parts and accessories can be purchased from other locations, and even those Vintage RVs might need some classic parts as well.

But sticking with this Suburban furnace parts list, here are some items you shouldn’t over look when it comes to heating appliances:

  • -Limit switches
  • -Module / Control boards
  • -Gas valves
  • -Electrode assemblies
  • -Furnace motors
  • -Sail switches

All of these above parts can be purchased or found right here, through: Everything RVs and More!

CONCLUSION

The parts list is endless when it comes to appliances. Not only is Suburban a major supplier in furnace products, they also have other products in which would create another list. Some of which would be drop in cook tops, or hot water heaters.

As far as furnaces go however, Suburban’s only other competition is a brand called Dometic. This company dabbles in appliances such as refrigerators, portable coolers, and climate control products like heaters and air conditioning units.

You will learn about them in another article in the future, but for today, this is the end of the furnace list.

Any questions regarding Suburban furnaces or accessories, feel free to drop a comment below and I’ll respond as best as I can.

Cheers!
