With that in mind, let’s dive into the best RV-friendly golf destinations in Canada and the U.S.

How to Choose the Best RV-Friendly Golf Destination

Selecting the right RV park near a golf course depends on a few key factors:

  • Climate & Seasonality – Do you prefer year-round golf (Arizona, Florida) or summer mountain courses (BC, Colorado)?
  • On-Site vs. Nearby Courses – Some parks have golf courses on-site, while others require a short drive.
  • Amenities & RV Accommodations – Consider the level of comfort, hookups, and resort features that fit your lifestyle.
  • Golf Course Quality – Research course ratings, difficulty, and practice facilities to match your skill level.

Quite informative.  We try to find a place to camp near a golf course once or twice a year.  Upstate NY has a lot of great state parks, some with golf courses right on site.  Others are near great golf courses as well.  Do you see that in other states?  I’d like to find some great spots outside of my area.  Thanks!

      Hey JT,

That’s awesome to hear! Upstate NY sounds like a hidden gem for RV-friendly golf courses. I haven’t had the chance to explore that area myself, but it’s good to know there are state parks with on-site golf.

There are definitely similar setups across other states, especially in Arizona, Florida, and South Carolina, where many RV parks are either directly connected to golf courses or within a short drive. The Bella Terra RV Resort in Alabama and Desert Shadows in Arizona (both mentioned in the article) are great examples of this trend.

If you’re looking for new golf destinations outside NY, I’d recommend checking out spots in Myrtle Beach, SC—it’s known as the “Golf Capital of the World” and has several RV-friendly resorts near championship courses.

Let me know if you end up planning a trip outside your usual spots—I’d love to hear where you go!

      Cheers,
      Jeremy
