18V Universal Awning Hardware

When you hear the word “universal”, what is the first thing you think about? I think something that has the potential to be utilized in place of something else.

Well, this is a DIYers dream come true with this hardware. This 18V Power hardware is compatible with Solera awnings and other leading awning brands on the market, which are Dometic, and Carefree.

Below, is what is available:

• -Mfg# 434729 – 18V power awning 69″ Black
• -Mfg# 434730 – 18V power awning 69″ White

Each kit does not include the awning roller assembly or fabric, and requires a minimum clearance of 4″ between awning rail and top of entry door for the tall arm adjustable pitch.

Also, these products include110V charging kit which allows you to operate your awning 22-25 times before your battery needs to be recharged.

12V Smart Arm Awning Hardware

Your RV just got smarter 😉

With the push of a button, you have an awning with automatic operation from inside or outside your RV. What comes in a 63″ short or 69″ standard arm length, this kit is also a universal fit that comes with an integrated weatherproof controller.

The short arm hardware will roll the awning out to a pre-set pitch for maximum shade and ideal rain runoff, while the tall arm, or standard arm hardware will roll the awning out flat to allow for clearance over slides, and allows quick and easy pitch adjustments at either side of the awning.

The classic universal awning hardware kit features a traditional manual spring-assisted roll up operation, with arms that detach from the bottom bracket that easily allow it to swing into a “carport” position. This provides varied pitch options to block the sunshine at any time of the afternoon.

These awnbrella awning bows turn your awning into another roof almost, by adding support to the already loose awning.

Slide Toppers

When searching for awning parts in the form of slide toppers, you are given two possible results. One are the toppers themselves, which come in 22 different varieties, while the other is the prep kit.

The prep kit includes access brackets, access plates, and #10 screws and set screws. Access brackets allow adjustable topper heights and are compatible only with Solera brand slide toppers so be extremely sure you have that product.

Although, since 2019, Solera has pre-installed these slide topper prep plates onto several of the most popular RV brands on the market, so chances are on your newer models, they may already be there.

Available products for the prep kits include:

Now, as far as the slide topper itself, it features a solid black or white fabric and comes complete with awning rail and all mounting brackets. It permanently attaches to slide room and automatically retracts or extends with the slide-out itself. Fit sizes like I said came in 22 different options ranging from 66″ to 192″ in length and extending up to 42″.

Part # 2202-1 and 2202-30 are the white and black, 61″ wide, 61″ long topper, while part # 2202-22 and 2202-51 are the white and black, 187″ wide, 187″ long toppers. Everything in between is in numerical order.

Universal & Custom Replacement Fabrics

Available only in 2 colors, white or black, the manufacturing numbers for the universal fabric are below:

• -Mfg# 432253 – 48″W x 50′ L, Black
• -Mfg# 432252 – 48″W x 50′ L, White

The universal replacement fabric features premium vinyl fabric, heat-welded seams, can accommodate slide-outs up to 48″, and can be installed up to 5″ above the slide box trim. This is a simple solution that stops you from wasting time and space by ordering a custom slide topper fabric.

Going one step further, the custom replacement fabrics are available in colors:

• -Super Shade Front Panels

Available in 7 different replacement parts, the widths of these panels are 10′ to 19′ and have a drop that ranges from 6′ to 10′. The super shade is perfect for power awnings, where the smaller piece is easily inserted into the awning tube and can stay there throughout the camping season. This version is compatible with Carefree and Dometic brand awnings as well.

• -Add-a Room (Family Room)

The space under your awning that gets turned into an enclosed outdoor patio or extra room, is what you get with this product. Available kit parts are measured for 16′, 17′, 18′, and 21′ awnings. The 4 mfg#’s are as follows:
