Insider Insights

During our visit, we discovered that the Hot Springs was closed for maintenance. It was unfortunate to experience this, however not terribly disappointing.

The RV resort gave us wrist bands that gained access to the main resorts pool and mineral spa. Just as this was looking to be like a flop, they also accommodated us with free mini-golf access and usage of the weight and activity room.

We didn’t experience the Lussier hot springs, but we did partake in the many hiking trails nearby, and even checked out the hidden hot springs and waterfall as seen here in this video:

Conclusion

Fairmont Hot Springs is nature’s spa, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and outdoor exploration for RV enthusiasts.

Whether you seek soothing hot springs, breathtaking hikes, or lakeside tranquility, Fairmont Hot Springs RV camping adventure delivers.

Embrace the RV lifestyle, and let the healing waters and majestic mountains of this hidden gem rejuvenate your spirit.

Hey this is like a dream vacation for me. I love British Columbia for both th mountains and the ocean. It’s such a gorgeous place. Would you say this place is safe from bears? I know BC has them . They can be unpredictable so you can never really let your guard down.

Absolutely, Jake! Fairmont Hot Springs in British Columbia is indeed a dream vacation spot, combining the beauty of mountains, hot springs, and natural tranquility. You’ve chosen a fantastic destination.

When it comes to wildlife, including bears, it’s essential to be cautious and aware of your surroundings, especially in the natural wilderness of British Columbia. While bear encounters can happen, there are steps you can take to ensure your safety:

      1) Bear Awareness: Being informed about bear behavior and knowing what to do in case of an encounter is crucial. Most bears in BC are black bears, which are generally less aggressive than grizzly bears.

      2) Bear Spray: Carrying bear spray and knowing how to use it effectively is advisable. It’s a valuable tool for deterring bears if they come too close.

      3) Secure Food: Keep all food items and scented items (like toiletries) securely stored, either in bear-proof containers or in your RV. Bears are attracted to food smells, and it’s important to minimize their attraction to your campsite.

      4) Make Noise: When hiking or moving around, especially in dense foliage, make noise to alert bears to your presence. Most bears prefer to avoid people if they know you’re nearby.

      5) Respect Wildlife: Keep a safe distance from wildlife and never approach or feed them. Remember, they are wild animals.

      6) Campground Safety: RV campgrounds often have guidelines in place to minimize bear encounters. Follow these guidelines diligently, such as proper food storage.

7)Bear Country Etiquette: Learn about the specific bear safety guidelines and etiquette for the area you plan to visit. Local authorities and park rangers can provide information and guidance.

While bears are a part of the natural ecosystem in British Columbia, with the right precautions and awareness, you can enjoy your Fairmont Hot Springs RV camping adventure safely.

It’s a remarkable place to connect with nature and create unforgettable memories. Enjoy your dream vacation!
